Jaye M. Rodenbush Blog

Thanks so much for stopping by this page. I am looking forward to the opportunity to share in writing with you.  This blog is designed for Christian women and most posts will focus on cultural issues that affect our children and families.

We live in a dark time. As women, we face great challenges in helping our families maintain their Apostolic identity, morals and values in the face of secularism and anti-Christian bias.  Yet, it is our duty to teach our children diligently in the way of Truth (Deut. 6:7). The good news is that as women, we do have a certain advantage — we are perceptive. We have the ability to see the subtleties of life. We instinctively know when things aren’t right, when things need changing, and we know when things are good. “She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night” (Proverbs 31:18). As Christian women, we know that the values that hold our families together, the things God has for us through His spirit are “good merchandise.” In other words. We’ve got the goods! We know, that we know that we ARE doing what’s right when we keep our families centered around God’s word. It may be counter-cultural, it may keep us from certain things or lead us toward others, but we have this perception that – YES – God is working for our good. Everything is in His hand and His control. With that confidence, we keep going, keep learning, keep teaching. We will be diligent! We will not let our candle go out by night. We keep the fire burning because we know we’ve got the goods!
